One of the many projects the Magazine Community in the Diaspora would Undertake in rebuilding Laura Dove Primary School. Upon visiting Laura Dove Primary School, we noticed how deplorable the school was.
The toilet wasn't working, and the school chairs, windows, and condition of their classrooms were deplorable. We couldn't leave it in such a
devastating state. We had to spring into action and create a donation drive.
This donation was challenging as it was our first, and getting people to understand the cause is the first step; getting them to trust their money will be put to good use is another task.
We put together a team of respectable individuals,
which gave us the added strength to continue the drive. Another challenge was working with our Magazine Community branch in Freetown. We also have people with the same drive and determination to get the work done. With both chapters' determination, it was easier for us to propel things in the right direction.
